Gintama's humor relies heavily on wordplay, cultural references, and puns that are tough to translate. Dubbing it would be a nightmare!

Gintama's countless parodies and cultural jokes are super hard to adapt for non-Japanese audiences, so subbing it is the easiest route. Trust me, you don't want to lose those epic jokes!

Honestly, dubbing Gintama would probably ruin half the jokes.

Probably because the sheer volume of references and jokes makes it a headache for dub directors. So they just went with subs, and honestly鈥攊t works!

It's not dubbed because translating its unique blend of Japanese culture, puns, and humor would be insanely difficult and potentially lose its charm.

If you're a Gintama fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
