Microsoft wanted the name to signify that this console is the center of entertainment, a 360-degree experience. Marketing magic at its finest!

360 means full circle, like it's the center of your gaming universe. Or, they just didn't want to name it Xbox 2 and look behind the PlayStation 3.

The Xbox 360 got its name because Microsoft wanted to signify a sense of a full circle, immersive experience. It represents a complete entertainment system, not just a gaming console. Also, 'Xbox 360' just sounds cooler than 'Xbox 2'!

Honestly, it's just marketing lingo to sound cool.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
