Honestly, just uninstall and reinstall the game. It’s a pain, but it fixes most issues like this. I had a similar problem, and nothing worked until I reinstalled!
Are you sure the game's volume in settings isn’t down? Go to settings, check under sound, and make sure it's not set to zero. I almost missed that once.
Double check that your headphones are plugged in all the way! If you're using Bluetooth headphones, make sure they're actually connected. Been there, done that, and it was just my headphones not being connected properly.
