Crew lock is in War Thunder because it adds a level of realism and strategy by ensuring players can't immediately jump back into battles with the same vehicle after it's been destroyed.
Crew lock stops players from ruining the experience for others by preventing endless suicide runs with the same top-tier vehicle. It's honestly a good thing.
