It's sad but true—Tokyo Ghoul: Dark War is shutting down most likely due to declining player numbers and revenue. Gotta keep the servers running somehow!

Heard from a friend who was super into it that it wasn't getting enough updates and content. Players lost interest, so it's getting shut down.

Honestly, these mobile games come and go all the time. If they're not making money, they get axed. Simple as that.

Hot take: Maybe it's shutting down because they want to focus on other Tokyo Ghoul projects or new games. Fingers crossed!

I was a die-hard fan, but even I noticed a drop in quality. Guess the devs couldn't keep up. Bummer!

If you're a Tokyo Ghoul fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
