Tokyo Ghoul:re, which is Season 3, follows a different arc from the manga. It introduces new characters and shifts the focus to Kaneki's new identity, Haise Sasaki. That's why it feels different!

As someone who read the manga first, I can tell you Season 3 aligns more with the Tokyo Ghoul:re manga, which changes the vibe and storyline. Different, but still awesome!

Season 3 is different because it basically starts a new arc with Haise Sasaki, who is Kaneki with a twist. Just roll with it!

Season 3 took a lot of creative liberties and condensed a lot of manga content, which can make it feel like a different story. But hey, new perspective, new excitement!
