Mitsuki's 'betrayal' was more about self-discovery. He had to leave to understand himself better, not because he turned against Boruto.

Cause Mitsuki’s a complex guy. He had to go, but deep down, he’s still loyal to his friends.

He didn’t actually betray Boruto. Mitsuki left the village to figure out his own path and destiny. Sometimes friends need space to grow!

He didn't betray him at all! Mitsuki just had personal reasons for leaving the village, but he never stopped caring for Boruto.
