High demand, folks! PvZ 2 went free to attract a larger audience. More players mean a bigger community and more potential for in-app purchases. It's a smart move - lure you in with free gameplay, then offer tantalizing extras for a price.

Plants vs Zombies 2 is free because it uses a freemium model. This means you can download and play the core game for free, but there are options to buy in-game items or features. This allows more people to get hooked on the game without any upfront cost, but still offers plenty of opportunities for the developers to make money from dedicated fans who want to enhance their experience.

Because they make a ton more from in-game purchases than they ever would selling the game upfront. Why charge once when you can charge forever, amirite?

Free? Yeah, but watch out for those in-app purchases. They get ya. Been there, done that, spent way more than I would have on a paid game.

If you're a Plants vs Zombies player looking for extra money or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Plants vs Zombies essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
