Check your internet connection. Fortnite updates are big, and a weak connection might cause the update to fail.

I had this issue before. Restarting my PS5 and modem usually fixes it. Worth a try!

Make sure your PS5 has enough storage space. Sometimes, the update can't install if the console is too full!
