I've been playing Apex on a rig with slightly lower specs than the recommended and it runs fine. Got an i5 3470, 8GB RAM, and a GTX 960. Sure, it's not ultra settings, but it's smooth enough for competitive play. Don't stress too much if you can't hit the recommended specs right on.
