CS:GO community servers are still around, but they're not as popular as they used to be. Back in the day, they were THE place to play because of their unique mods and maps. Nowadays, with the rise of official matchmaking and third-party services like FaceIt and ESEA, more players prefer these for their competitive fix. But don't get it twisted; community servers are alive with custom games, practicing areas, and fun modes. It's just that the spotlight has shifted a bit!

Bit of a hot take, but community servers are way better for learning the ins and outs of CS:GO than matchmaking. Less pressure and more variety. You can actually find servers dedicated to teaching grenade throws or improving aim. Perfect for newbs and veterans looking to sharpen their skills.

They're not gone! Just hop into your game, hit the 'Community Server Browser' in the menu, and dive into the weird and wonderful world of CS:GO community servers. You'll find everything from surf maps to 1v1 arenas. Sure, they might not be on the front page anymore, but trust me, there's a whole universe out there still.

Honestly, they kinda lost their charm. With all the new official content and updates CS:GO gets, community servers feel a bit outdated. Plus, dealing with mods and sometimes sketchy server admins? No thanks, I'll stick to the official matchmaking.
