In CS:GO, the default FOV (Field of View) setting is locked at 90 for a 4:3 aspect ratio. If you're playing on a 16:9 widescreen monitor, it kind of feels like it expands to fit the screen, but technically, the game's FOV doesn't change. Basically, you're stuck with what they give you unless you dive into some serious modding.

Actually, you can adjust your viewmodel FOV in CS:GO through the console commands. It's not the same as traditional FOV adjustments, but it does change how your gun appears on screen, which can sort of give the illusion of having a wider field of view. Type in 'viewmodel_fov' followed by a number (54 to 68 is the usual range) in the console to try it!
