From my experience, Trust Factor feels like a hidden score that decides if I'm gonna have a chill gaming session or if I'm going to be pulling my hair out because of griefers. Play nice, and it seems like the system rewards you with better matches. It's like karma, but for CS:GO.

Trust Factor in CS:GO is basically Valve's way of pairing you up with teammates and opponents that are most likely gonna make your game experience a good one. It takes into account your playing time, reports against you (hopefully none!), your activity in other Steam games, and more. The idea is to match you with players who are as serious (or casual) about the game as you are, so you're less likely to run into trolls or cheaters. Keep your nose clean and your Trust Factor goes up, bringing you better matches!
