Honestly, the rank thing can be a bit annoying. I say just enjoy the game with friends, rank difference or not!

So, in CS:GO, players within five ranks of each other can team up for matchmaking. That means if you're Silver 4, you can play with anyone from Silver 1 to Gold Nova 1. The system’s designed to keep matches fair and competitive, but it’s also cool cause it lets you play with your friends who might not be on the same level. And remember, if you wanna play with someone way above or below your rank, you can always form a full lobby of five players; the game will let you matchmake with any rank then!
