Just to add, digital copies were playable at 12 AM local time on release day. If you went physical, you had to wait for the store to open. Good luck avoiding spoilers till then!

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet dropped at midnight local time on their release date, November 18, 2022. So, the time you could start playing depended on where you were living. It was pretty cool to see everyone around the globe get access to the game as their time zones hit midnight!

Midnight. But time zones, remember. Not everyone got to play at the same 'time'.
