Dogmeat, your faithful canine companion in Fallout 4, can first be found at the Red Rocket Truck Stop, just a little ways south of Sanctuary Hills. If you've romped around the Commonwealth and lost track of him, check back at your home base, as he often returns there. And if you've gotten far enough, you might want to check inside the dog houses in Sanctuary - sometimes he just likes to chill in there!

Actually, it's not that hard to find Dogmeat. If you've assigned him to a different settlement by accident or on purpose, he's probably just hanging out waiting for you there. Remember, you can also use the Vault-Tec Population Management System terminal to track him down if you have the Vault-Tec Workshop DLC.

lol, just whistle. I mean, if only it was that simple in the game. But seriously, Dogmeat tends to return to Dog Houses in Sanctuary or the last location you assigned him to. So always check those spots!

Dogmeat's probably out fetching some Nuka-Cola for ya. Just kidding, but really, he's likely at the Red Rocket Truck Stop or chilling in a dog house in Sanctuary. If you've got multiple settlements, though, you've got a bit of detective work to do. Happy hunting!
