Haunter lurks around the gloomy areas of the Paldea region. Your best bet is to search in the Asado Desert during the night. The game tends to spawn more ghost-type Pokémon like Haunter after sunset. So, grab some Pokéballs, wait for the moon to rise, and happy haunting!

Gotta disagree with the desert advice. I found mine chilling near ruins! Night time is a must though.
