They're basically the Rolex of CS:GO knives. Rarity, demand, and the swag factor of flipping them around make them cost an arm and a leg. Plus, having one is like a status symbol in the game.

Butterfly knives are pricey in CS:GO mainly cuz they're super rare and a lot of players want them. They've got this cool flipping animation that makes them stand out. Plus, they come from cases that have a low drop rate, so getting your hands on one without directly buying it is pretty tough. Demand's high and supply's low, classic case of economics 101.
