Why Did Brawl Stars Remove Boxes?

You probably remember Brawl Boxes giving you a variety of rewards up until April 2023, the month they became unavailable. But why did Brawls Stars remove these cool boxes?

Brawl Boxes contained a variety of rewards, including coins, power points, gadgets, Star Powers, new Brawlers, and Token Doublers.

There are a number of reasons that lead Supercell (Brawl Stars developers) to remove these boxes in April 2023.

Some of the reasons are:

• Reducing the reliance on boxes: These type of boxes in games have been criticized for their predatory nature and potential to encourage gambling. Players can spend a lot of money on getting boxes without getting the rewards they want, which can lead to frustration and addiction
• To improve progression transparency: The rewards inside a box are unpredictable, which can make it difficult for players to progress in the game. By removing them, Supercell was aiming to be more transparent on how players could earn new content and progress
• To give players more control over their progression: By removing the boxes, Supercell was trying to give players more control over their progress in the game

So, for these reasons, Supercell decided to remove them and implemented the new progression system for your journey in the game.
