Why does my mic sound bad in CS:GO?

Oh man, the classic 'bad mic in CS:GO' struggle. A few things could be causing the trouble. First up, check your in-game audio settings. CS:GO might not be set to use your fancy mic, instead defaulting to something less desirable. If that's all good, dive into your computer's sound settings. Make sure your mic is the default device and crank up the quality. Sometimes, background apps can hijack your mic and lower its quality, so closing unnecessary apps could also clear up the sound. And don't forget to check for dust! A quick cleanup might just do the trick.

Just turn it off and on again, works every time. But really, CS:GO can be picky with mics. Double-check those settings.

Honestly, it's probably just CS:GO being CS:GO. The game's been around a while, and sometimes it feels like the audio settings have a mind of their own. Make sure your mic is the preferred device in both the game and your system's settings, and maybe sacrifice a chicken or two to the CS:GO gods for good measure.
