In my experience, it's usually about your PC's mood. Seriously, I just restart my computer and boom, CS:GO runs like it's got new wheels. Sometimes it's the simplest fixes that work wonders.

There could be a bunch of reasons why CS:GO is chugging along slower than a snail on a go-kart track. First off, check if your system meets the game's requirements. CS:GO isn't the newest game on the block, but a recent update could've upped the ante. Next, peek at your graphic settings in-game; sometimes they set themselves to 'Ultra HD Galaxy Brain Mode' without asking. Lower those and see if it helps. Lastly, your PC might be running too many background apps, eating up precious performance. Give those a close and let your PC breathe a little!

If it's not your internet connection, it's probably just the game being its usual self. I swear, CS:GO picks days to act up.
