Actually, CS:GO itself isn't really expensive, considering it went free-to-play back in 2018. What gets pricey are the skins and cosmetics, which are purely optional. People love customizing their gear, and some skins are super rare, so the market dictates high prices. But you don’t really NEED them to enjoy the game.
