Another user here! Make sure your headphones or speakers are properly plugged in. I can't tell you how many times I thought my game was broken, but it turned out my headphone jack was just halfway plugged in. 🙈

Don't forget to update your audio drivers! Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause all sorts of sound issues. Head over to the manufacturer's website, find the latest drivers for your sound card, and install them. Worked for me last time I had this issue.
