If Terraria's running slow, check your PC or device specs. Terraria isn't too demanding, but if you're running it on an old laptop or a device not meant for gaming, it might struggle. Also, check your game settings. Lowering the graphics quality can speed things up without ruining the fun!

Terraria might feel slow at the beginning because it's all about progression. You start with basic tools and slowly work your way up to faster digging and moving speeds. It's like the game's way of teaching you patience and rewarding you with cooler stuff as you advance. Plus, the world is huge, so there's a ton to explore, which can make it seem like you're moving slow, but really, you're just taking in all the sights and sounds!

I had the same issue, thought Terraria was slow. Turned out, it was my ancient computer. Upgraded my setup, and suddenly Terraria was smooth as butter. If your hardware's old, consider it might be time for an upgrade!
