Why was Cobblestone removed from CS:GO?
Best answer
MapMaster99
Cobblestone was taken out of the competitive map pool because it wasn't as popular as the devs hoped. The map had issues with balance, making one side significantly stronger than the other, and that just didn't vibe well with competitive play. Plus, they wanted to make room for new maps and keep the game feeling fresh.

Honestly, Cobblestone's removal was a bit of a relief. The map layout favored the CT side too much, making some matches a bit predictable. Needed a bit of a shakeup in the map rotation to keep things interesting!

It's all about the meta. Cobblestone just didn't fit the current playstyle anymore. Maps evolve or they get rotated out. Simple as that.

Cobblestone's aesthetics were kinda dated, tbh. The game's evolved, and so has player expectations for map design and playability. Out with the old, in with the new, I guess.
