Nope, not all fat PS3s are backwards compatible. Only the original models with 20GB, 60GB, and some early 80GB versions can play PS2 games. Check the model number to be sure!

Nah, only the 20GB and 60GB models have that sweet backwards compatibility. Later fat models dropped it.

I had a fat PS3 that played PS2 games, but only the 20GB and 60GB models are guaranteed to do so. Check your model first!
