Nope! The original PS3 controllers were wired, but the later models, like the DualShock 3, are wireless. Happy gaming!

Actually, not all of them. The SIXAXIS and DualShock 3 are wireless, but there were also some wired models available.

From my experience, most PS3 controllers are wireless like the DualShock 3, but there are definitely wired ones out there too.
