Nope, PS3 controllers aren't compatible with the PS4. You can use a PS4 controller on a PS3, though!

I tried using a PS3 controller on my PS4 and it was a no-go. Ended up just grabbing a PS4 controller.

Unfortunately, the PS3 controller can't natively connect to a PS4. If you really want to use it, you'll need a special adapter.

Just get a PS4 controller. The PS3 ones won't work unless you jump through a lot of hoops, and even then, it's kind of janky.
