Yes, but only on certain models of the PS3. The original 60GB and 20GB launch models have hardware-based backward compatibility for PS2 games, while some later models, like the 80GB Metal Gear Solid edition, use software emulation. Check your PS3 model before trying!

Actually, most PS3s can't play PS2 games. Only select early models can, so it's a bit of a gamble if you have one of the newer ones.

I had one of the older 'fat' PS3 models, and yep, it played my PS2 games perfectly! If you have a newer 'slim' model, it might not work though.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
