Only the original 'fat' PS3 models with four USB ports can play PS2 games natively. The later 'slim' and 'super slim' models can't do it.

If you've got a first-gen PS3, you're in luck! Those are the ones that can run PS2 games. The newer ones? Not so much.

Not all PS3s can play PS2 games. It's mostly just the early models that have the necessary hardware.
