Nope, it's better to stick with charging through the console. Some wall chargers might damage the controller over time.

Of course you can! I've been charging mine with a phone charger for years without any issues :)

Yep, you can! Just use any USB charger with a mini-USB cable. I do it all the time with my phone charger.

Absolutely! If you have a mini-USB wall charger, you can plug your PS3 controller right in. Just make sure it outputs 5V like a standard USB port.
