You can use the PSN app to start the download or installation of a game remotely, but you can't launch the game directly through the app.

Nope, you can't launch a game using the PSN app. It's good for managing downloads and purchases, but you'll need to use your console to play.

I've tried it myself, and while I can queue up downloads for my PS5 using the PSN app, I still need to be in front of my console to start playing.
