Yes, but it depends on the PS3 model you have. Early PS3 models (like the original 20GB and 60GB versions) are backward compatible with PS2 games. Later models, unfortunately, dropped this feature.

I have a 60GB PS3, and yes, I can play almost all my PS2 collection on it without any issues. It's awesome!

Simply put, if your PS3 is one of the early models, you should be good to go for PS2 games. Otherwise, nope.

Some PS3 models can run PS2 games. Look for the older fat PS3s with at least 4 USB ports on the front!

No, most PS3 models can't play PS2 games directly. Your best bet would be finding the launch models.
