Blocking someone on PSN only stops them from messaging you or seeing your online status. They might still end up in the same online match if it's a public game.

Nope, if you block someone on PSN, they can't join your games or send you messages. It's like putting up an invisible 'No Entry' sign!

You absolutely can't control who joins public lobbies. Blocking them just blocks communication and friend requests.
