Nope, the PS4 can't read PS3 discs. Sony decided to move forward with digital backward compatibility instead.

Unfortunately, PS4 doesn't support PS3 discs. You'll need to use PlayStation Now to stream older games.

You can't play PS3 discs on a PS4. It's a bummer but hey, the PS4 has an amazing game library of its own!
