The Steam Deck is pretty awesome, letting you take a big chunk of your PC gaming library on the go. However, it's not a magic wand that makes every game instantly playable. Most Steam games will run just fine, especially ones Valve has optimized for the device. But there are some games, particularly those with heavy DRM or that are super resource-intensive, that might not work as well. It's always a good idea to check the Steam Deck compatibility page for the games you're itching to play on it!

Short answer: No, not every game. But a lot of them? Absolutely. The Steam Deck runs a lot of games really well, but you might hit a snag with games that need more oomph than the Deck can provide or those pesky ones with DRM issues. So, do a little homework on your faves before you dive in.

Nope. You're out of luck with some titles. DRM and high requirements are the main culprits.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
