Save yourself the trouble – it won't work on the old 3DS. Only the New 3DS can handle the awesomeness of Xenoblade Chronicles.

Nope, Xenoblade Chronicles can only be played on the New Nintendo 3DS. The old 3DS hardware can't handle it.
