Absolutely, you can appear offline on Steam! Just click on your username in the bottom right corner, then click 'Invisible.' You'll still be able to game and chat, but you'll appear offline to your friends list. Perfect for when you're trying to sneak in some game time without interruptions.

Not a fan of going invisible. Everyone should show their true gaming colors! But, if you must, Steam does let you hide.
