Ugh, it is possible, but you’ll need to jailbreak your iPhone first, which voids warranty. Not worth it IMO. Just grab a newer controller for easier pairing.

Yes, you can connect a PS3 controller to your iPhone, but it's a bit of a process. You'll need a jailbroken iPhone and additional software like Blutrol. Worth the effort if you love retro gaming!

I managed to connect my PS3 controller to my iPhone using Blutrol after jailbreaking. It works great for older games, but remember it’s not officially supported by Apple.
