Unfortunately, you can't directly gift games on the PS5. You'll need to buy a PlayStation Store gift card and let your friend pick out the game they want!

Sadly, PlayStation doesn’t have a gifting option like Xbox. Stick to gift cards to make someone's day.

Nope, there's no in-system gifting feature. Just grab a gift card and you'll be good to go. Easy peasy!
