Nope. Gotta have Nintendo Online for the online bits of Animal Crossing. It's like wanting to netflix without the chill. Just part of the deal.

No, you can't. Nintendo Online is a must for online play in Animal Crossing. but hey, the game's still super fun offline!

Harsh truth? No. But here's a silver lining: You don't need Nintendo Online for all the other fun stuff Animal Crossing offers! There's tons to do on your own island that doesn't require a sub. Fishing, decorating, bug catching, you name it. So, it's not all bad!

Unfortunately, if you're looking to roam around your friends' islands or want them to visit yours in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you're gonna need that Nintendo Online subscription. It's the key to unlock online play, so no Nintendo Online means no visiting friends' islands online.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
