Nope, Steam Deck can't handle Fortnite's anti-cheat software. Maybe someday, but not right now.

Unfortunately, you can't play Fortnite on a Steam Deck because it doesn't support the anti-cheat system Fortnite uses. Epic Games hasn't made it compatible.

Absolutely! You can play Fortnite on a Steam Deck, but it's not as straightforward as downloading it directly from the Steam store. Since Fortnite is not available on Steam, you'll need to install the Epic Games Launcher through the Desktop Mode on your Steam Deck. Once you've got that set up, you can download Fortnite and play to your heart's content!

Yeah you can, but why would you want to? Just kidding! To play Fortnite on your Steam Deck, you gotta sidestep a bit because it's not on Steam. Install Epic Games Launcher via Desktop Mode, then download Fortnite. Voila!

No Dice. Fortnite's anti-cheat doesn't play nice with Steam Deck, so it's a no-go.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
