Nope, you can't directly play PS3 games on the PS Vita. However, you can use Remote Play to stream PS3 games to your Vita if you have a PS3 and a good network connection.

Unfortunately, PS3 games won't run natively on the PS Vita. But, some PS3 games have been re-released for Vita and others might be available through PS Now.

Nope. Had a PS Vita and tried, didn't work. Only Remote Play works and requires a stable connection.
