You can, but it's tricky. Only the early PS3 models (the fat ones) can play PS2 games natively. The slimmer versions? Not so much.

Nope, PS3 can't play PS2 games. Get a PS2 if you wanna play them.

Yes, but only certain models! The original 60GB and 20GB PS3 models have hardware-based backward compatibility, so they can play almost all PS2 games. Later models, however, can't. So, if you have one of those OG PS3s, you're in luck!

I still keep my fat PS3 for this reason! The 60GB model is a gem for playing PS2 classics. If you can find one, it鈥檚 a great investment.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
