You can't play PS3 discs on a PS4 Slim, but you can stream some PS3 games via PlayStation Now. It's a subscription service with a decent library.

Nope, the PS4 Slim doesn't support PS3 game discs. You might want to check out PlayStation Now for streaming some PS3 classics!

As someone who tried it, I can confirm PS3 discs don't work on PS4 Slim. PlayStation Now is the way to go if you wanna play PS3 games.
