Nope, PS3 games won't work on a PS2 console. The PS2 just isn't built to handle the more advanced hardware and game tech of the PS3.

Unfortunately, you can't play PS3 games on a PS2. The consoles have different architectures and technologies. You're better off finding a PS3 or using a PS4/PS5 for backward compatibility features.

From personal experience, nope, not possible. I tried and got nothing but frustration. Invest in a PS3 or newer console for those games.
