Nope, you can't play online without PS Plus. But single-player and offline games? Totally fine!

Yes, you can play games you bought from the PlayStation Store without a subscription. However, for online multiplayer and free monthly games, you need PS Plus.

I've been playing my PS4 and PS5 games offline for years without a PS Plus subscription. Only needed it once for online multiplayer.
