Sorry to burst the bubble, but no, you can't directly play Steam games on a Nintendo Switch. The Switch runs on its own operating system that's not compatible with the Steam platform. However, if you're feeling adventurous, some folks have managed to stream Steam games to their Switch using homebrew applications, but it's a bit of a gray area legally and technically.

I managed to stream games from my Steam library to my Switch using a homebrew app. It's not perfect and definitely not supported by Nintendo or Steam, but it's pretty cool to play PC games on the go like that. Keep in mind, it requires a good bit of tech know-how and could void your warranty, so proceed with caution.

Technically nope. Nintendo Switch and Steam are like oil and water; they don't mix. Steam games are meant for PC, and the Switch just doesn't have the setup to run them natively.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
