Can you send someone money on Steam?
Not directly, but there's a workaround! You can't send money directly to someone on Steam, but you can gift them a digital gift card. Just head over to the Steam digital gift card page, choose your amount, and select a friend from your Steam friends list. Boom! You're basically sending them money to use on Steam.

Nope, you cannot straight up send cash to your buds on Steam. However, gifting them a Steam Gift Card is pretty much the closest thing. So, while you can't directly send money, you can still make their day by letting them pick their gift.
Absolutely not, and frankly, it's better this way. Keeps things simple and encourages gifting games, which is more personal anyway.
