Totally can, but why bother? Most tamed animals end up as snack for something bigger. Though, gotta admit, having a pet Deathclaw is kinda cool.
Yeah, taming animals is still a thing. Had a Mega Sloth at my C.A.M.P. for ages. Just make sure your camp has enough space and you're good to go.
